Jakarta - Usai mengumumkan pengunduran diri sebagai pebulutangkis, Taufik Hidayat mengungkap bahwa dirinya akan menghabiskan waktu untuk membina atlet muda bulutangkis.

Hal tersebut disampaikan Taufik Hidayat setelah konferensi pers pengunduran dirinya di kediaman sang mertua, Agum Gumelar di Panglima Polim, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, Rabu (15/8/2012) sore WIB.

Kendati demikian ia mengatakan masih akan tampil di pertandingan perpisahan di beberapa negara seperti Jepang, China, Prancis, Inggris, Malaysia dan terakhir di Jakarta di ajang Indonesia Open 2013.

Taufik menjelaskan selain masih akan melakoni pertandingan tersebut, saat ini dirinya akan fokus untuk membina atlet-atlet muda berbakat di Taufik Hidayat Arena, tempat pelatihan yang ia dirikan di Ciaracas yang rencananya mulai efektif setelah lebaran.

Taufik Hidayat Arena tersebut mempunyai daya tampung 1.200 orang. Nantinya, 20 persen dari kuota tersebut akan diberikan khusus atlet berpotensi yang kurang mampu.

Sehubungan dengan hal ia akan mengelar road show di berbagai daerah di Indonesia untuk mencari bibit-bibit muda berbakat untuk di bawa ke Taufik Hidayat Arena.

"Saya akan fokus kerja sama pembinaan atlet-atlet bulutangkis untuk regenarasi. Tidak hanya klub saya, siapapun boleh berlatih di sana. Yang punya talenta justru akan saya bantu," tegas Taufik

"Saya akan menyisakan 20 persen untuk atlet-atlet yang kurang mampu. Saya akan biayai, mulai dari biaya hidup, makan dan sekolah," papar dia.

Jakarta - Taufik Hidayat menjelaskan bahwa pernyataannya gantung raket hari ini belum langsung berlaku. Ia baru akan mundur setelah Indonesia Open tahun depan.

Dalam konferensi pers yang dilakukan di kediaman sang ayah mertua, Agum Gumelar, di kawasan Panglima Polim, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta, Rabu (15/8/2012), Taufik mengumumkan pengunduran dirinya sebagai pebulutangkis.

Akan tetapi, setelah pengumumannya tersebut Taufik menjelaskan kembali perihal pengunduran dirinya dari bulutangkis itu lewat akun Twitter-nya, @taufikhidayat_1.

Pasalnya, Taufik merasa ada kekeliruan penafsiran media yang menganggap bahwa pengumuman itu berarti bahwa ia sudah langsung pensiun. Padahal, imbuhnya, ia masih akan aktif bermain sebagai pebulutangkis profesional sampai tahun 2013.

"Ralat; Indonesia open 2013 adalah tournament penutup saya sebagai atlet," terangnya.

Sejak menjuarai Prancis Terbuka dua bulan lalu, Nadal memang berkutat dengan cedera lutut yang sempat menderanya tahun 2009 dan membuatnya absen selama tahun. Cedera yang membuatnya tersingkir cepat dari Wimbledon di babak kedua serta Madrid Terbuka setelahnya.

Nadal pun dipaksa absen dari Olimpiade 2012 dan dua turnamen Masters di Rogers Cup dan Cincinnati.

Jakarta - Taufik Hidayat telah mengumumkan pengunduran dirinya sebagai atlet bulutangkis. Namun, ia masih akan tetap bermain di sejumlah "pertandingan perpisahan".

Taufik secara resmi mengumumkan pengunduran dirinya, Rabu (15/8/2012) sore WIB, kendati ia juga menambahkan masih akan tampil di perlbagai negara.

Di sisa tahun 2012 ini Taufik di antaranya masih akan tampil di Jepang, Prancis, dan China. Sementara tahun depan, ia akan tampil di Malaysia, Inggris, dan puncaknya di Jakarta di Indonesia Open pada Juni 2013.

Selain memang sudah terikat kontrak tampil dengan sejumlah negara, peraih medali emas Olimpiade 2004 itu rupanya juga akan menjadikan partai-partai tersebut sebagai pertandingan perpisahan dirinya sebagai pemain bulutangkis.

"Saya sebagai pemain profesional masih ada kontrak dengan negara-negara tertentu dan negara-negara itu sudah menjadi bagian dari karier saya," ujar Taufik dalam acara konferensi pers di kediaman ayah mertuanya, Agum Gumelar, di bilangan Panglima Polim, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, Rabu (15/8/2012) sore WIB.

"Saya ingin memberikan perpisahan yang baik kepada fans-fans saya. Saya ingin mengatakan sesuatu untuk mereka. Salam perpisahan untuk semua yang telah mendukung saya," tukas Taufik.
