BC start the Series III with a victory

Dalam pertandingan babak kedua di SK Handball Stadium, Seoul, yang selesai Kamis (10/1/2013) malam WIB, Meiliana/Greysia sempat merebut gim pertama. Namun mereka kemudian menyerah di dua gim berikutnya dan kalah 22-20, 9-21, 5-21 dalam tempo 48 menit.

Juga gagal melangkah ke babak kedua adalah Firdasari. Dia menyerah dua gim langsung dari unggulan tujuh asal China, Jiang Yanjiao, 13-21, 13-21.

Dengan tersingkirnya Firda, maka Indonesia sudah tidak punya wakil lagi di nomor tunggal putri. Sebelumnya, Lindaweni Fanetri sudah lebih dulu angkat koper.

Dari nomor tunggal putra, pasangan Alvent Yulianto Chandra/Markis Kido juga gagal ke babak kedua. Mereka disingkirkan pasangan Rusia, Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov 13-21, 15-21.
