Djokovic Preserve Title

Toronto -Novak Djokovic ended its action at the Rogers Cup tournament with a resounding. The top-seeded Serbian origin were retained his title after beating Richard Gasquet in the final.

At the Rexall Centre in Toronto, Sunday (12/8/2012), Djokovic beat Gasquet with relative ease. He won two straight sets 6-3, 6-2.

This is the third title in the event that Djokovic won by Rogers Cup. Apart from this year and last year, he was also a champion in 2007.

This degree also put an end to negative trends experienced by Djokovic in quite some time. His last title before this is in Miami Masters, four months ago. In the 2012 Olympic Games, he also won a disappointing result because just finishing fourth.

Although the champion, Djokovic would remain in second place of the world. Top position still occupied by Roger Federer, who did not participate in the tournament due to a schedule too close to the Olympics.
